UnMarkedAI ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by UnMarkedAI Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. We provide an AI text humanization and AI detection bypass service accessible at https://unmarkedai.com and through our API.

2.1 Data You Give Us

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Payment information: Billing name, address, and payment card details (processed by Stripe — we do not store raw card numbers).
  • Content you submit: Text you paste into our humanizer tool. This is processed transiently and is not stored after processing unless you explicitly save it to your account.
  • Communications: Messages you send to our support team or via email.

2.2 Data We Collect Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, humanisation counts, timestamps.
  • Device & browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: See our Cookie Policy section below.
  • Log data: Server logs including IP addresses, request URLs, and HTTP status codes.

2.3 Data From Third Parties

  • OAuth providers: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
  • Analytics partners: Aggregate product and usage insights from PostHog (subject to your cookie consent).

5. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with the following categories of recipients strictly for the purposes described:

  • Stripe Inc — payment processing (PCI-DSS certified).
  • PostHog, Inc. — product analytics and session insights, subject to your consent.
  • Google LLC — Google OAuth (authentication) and related infrastructure services.
  • Anthropic / OpenAI — if your submitted content is processed through a third-party AI model, it is subject to those providers' data processing agreements. We use data processing addenda to protect your data.
  • Vercel / Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery infrastructure.
  • Law enforcement — where required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements and are required to maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). When we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK ICO or European Commission.
  • Adequacy decisions (e.g. data transfers to countries deemed adequate by the UK government).
  • Binding Corporate Rules where applicable.

7. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after deletion request, then permanently erased.
  • Submitted text content: Processed transiently and not stored unless you save it. Saved content is retained until you delete it from your account.
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years to comply with UK financial regulations.
  • Server logs: Retained for 90 days for security and abuse prevention purposes.
  • Analytics data: Retained according to the active retention period configured in PostHog, then automatically deleted or aggregated.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and penetration testing. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at privacy@unmarkedai.com.
